Are electronic signatures legally binding?
Yes. In the U.S. (ESIGN Act, UETA), the EU (eIDAS) and Korea (Electronic Signature Act), a signature cannot be denied legal effect solely because it is electronic. Every SignTulip document includes an audit trail and a certificate of completion. A few document types that legally require a specific form (e.g. some notarized filings) may be exceptions.
Do signers need to create an account?
No. Signers open the link from their email and sign right away — no app and no account needed.
Which files can I upload?
PDF, JPG and PNG files up to 25 MB. Photos and scans are converted to PDF automatically.
Are my documents stored securely?
Documents are stored encrypted in private storage and are only accessible to you and your signers. SHA-256 hashes of the original and the completed file make tampering detectable.
